Default Bernina 350 threader

The threader on my Bernina 350 keeps breaking. My dealer told me not to jam it down when threading, so I have never done that, not even by mistake. But somehow, it keeps breaking.

Does this happen to other people? Should I give up on fixing it and just thread by hand? Is there something I must be doing wrong other than jamming it down which I know I don't do?

Thanks!

Lainey

How does it work? On the machines I have, there is a very small wire that catches the thread and pulls it through the eye of the needle. Sometimes the little wire gets bent over too far and won't catch the needle.
You can fix that. Use a good magnifying glass. Gently bend the wire back with a fine pin.

I have the same kind, but the little wire keeps breaking off entirely. Do you know why that would keep happening?
