I just got the magnifying glass set a few months ago. I've only used it when following a small FM pattern. I should be using them more but usually forget I have them!

Add me to the list of happy Bernina 440 QE owners. I bought it primarily for the stitch regulator, but love the overall performance of my machine. I'd love a few more inches in the bed space, since it is pretty tight when trying to do FMQ, but there is no way that I could afford the Bernina 800 series. My advice to you, Michael, is be thankful that you have such a nice friend and go ahead and enjoy the sewing machine ...... obviously, that was the intent behind her plan. Happy quilting, kiddo!

How great is that? I have this machine and I just love it. I have sewn on Kenmore, Singer, small Brother and this machine is my favorite. Of course it was more that the other three machines put togethertimes 3.

It is an outstanding machine, money well spent.

I have one and at first I didn't like it. I was so frustrated with all the things that were different from my old machine, but given time I have learned to like it. I'm still disappointed that I can't free motion as well as I expected. I thought the machine would do it all. How stupid!
