Default Bernette 50 by bernina foound

I just bought this machine for $7.00 at a thrift store. I am still in Phoenix at my daughters house that flooded. I have been out shopping and found this. I don't have the cord to my camera or I would load a picture. Are they any good? The needle is broke so I will have to get some. Thanks for any info, no book or extra feet.

I had a Bernette 55 which I bought on eBay and used for several years as my travel machine. When I got a new travel machine, I gave it to my son, and he has had it for 7 or 8 years. For $7, even if you took it to a Bernina dealer and paid the $75 service fee to have it checked out, you got a good deal. You should be able to get feet from a Bernina dealer, and I always used Schmetz 80/12 and 90/14 sharps with mine.

I've had mine for several years and take it to all 4 retreats I go to each year. Sews fine and is easy to set up. You got a good deal!
