Default The best gift I ever had

I am always very spoiled at Christmas but this year was my first quilting year. I made stockings for 10 person in my family and 4 went to my son and his family.
Now The best gift ever was from my Son who is not expressive at all, called me and say Wow Mom are you crazy that is too much the stockings are very 'nice' and Veronique (his wife) was all choked up when she saw them.

Yesterday, my Daughter called me and add that my Son also called my EX (his Father) and told him how magnificent they were all embroidered with their name on blablabla he praised them endlessly. I was so touched that my son and family were so very touched by these. And I have to admit, talking this way to my EX about something I made for them got my pride racing to the top way way high LOLOL

Feels so good and encourage me to continue quilting!

I just love when people get that excited over stuff we make. Makes you feel so good. I gave homemade scrubbies and dishclothes to the girls in the family and one told me last night that her daughter thought it was too pretty to use. That's why we do what we do!!! So glad you had that reaction.

Awwww, that's so nice! Somehow, his enthusiasm means even more because you heard about it from someone else. That way, you know it's completely genuine. That must've really warmed your heart.

What great gifts and how wonderful to hear how much your son and his wife appreciated the effort and love that went into them! Things like that do encourage us to continue to do what we do.

Thats just wonderful, You should be sew proud and please keep up the good work. You have a family who enjoys what you make as much as you enjoy making it for them. That is rare. And post some pics for us as well.

I'm happy for you...you got one of the best gifts a quilter can get....real appreciation. You also must have raised nice children.

Sounds like me...I'm ALWAYS happy when my kids brag to their father about something I did just for them. It just makes me feel good!
