Which Ott lamp isn't? Lol, I have two table top desk type ones (less expensive). One is set up so that it shines into my sewing machine throat from the back. It has a bendy neck which makes it easy to use without getting in the way. The other is on my desk and moves from place to place as needed.

I have a floor Ott which is beside my chair for handwork. Also have a smaller Ott with a flexible neck which is kept between my serger and the sewing machine. Then I purchased two daylight bulbs for the ceiling fixture - they are as good as the Ott for providing a "true" light to work by. I like a very bright room when I'm working on projects.

I have the table mount lamp for the sewing machine. I have the stand one next to the La-z-boy recliner. I have a desk one for seeing items on my desk and I have the original folding one that isn't be used that much. One can NEVER have enough Ott lamps!!

I love the Ott lamps in my sewing room! I have a floor lamp between my sewing machine and serger that I can turn to shine on the machine I am using. I have another floor lamp behind my sewing chair, and a desk lamp that I move between my ironing board and cutting table. I once had a floor lamp there; but moved it to my den by the chair I sit in for hand sewing. I also have a folding Ott lamp that I take to classes, etc. I would have trouble sewing without my Ott lamps.

Love my Stella, i rarely use my Ott light since i bought Stella. Adjustable light levels, nice long cord, flexible neck, never gets hot.

Do you mean quilting on your DSM?

I have a table top Ott style lamp but don't use it much at all as my floor lanp style Ott lamp is more flexible.

Any of them are great, depends on where you plan on using it.
