When doing the blind stitch while binding, do you use double or single thread?

I use single, which is think is plenty strong. If you're concerned that the stitching might loosen in the wash, take your stiches closer together.

If using hand quilting thread I use a single strand. If using general purpose sewing thread I usually use 2 strands.

2 strands and lock stitch every inch or so on quilts that I know will be used hard.
