Where is a good place online to buy the Kona black fabrics?

I use all kinds of black. I really like the variation in my Amish stuff. Just make sure - whichever you use - that if you want a solid background you use all the same cut. I'm sure that Kona must be "the one" considering the replies so far. I like scrappy so I guess I'm not as particular about it.

I like Kona too, but have you tried the Moda Bella Solids? The have such a great hand and drape so well.

My Mom has used Amish Black from Keepsake Quilting. It's very nice and a deep true black.

I like Amish black from the Gohn Brothers
and the black from Marshall Dry Goods
Cannot beat the price on those two and the quality is excellent.

I've also used Kona and Moda's (I think it's called Bella Solids, not sure) - quite good, but more expensive.

I'll be searching for good prices on both of these. I need at least 12 yards and about 9 of a light and would not like paying LQS prices - Yikes!

Thanks for all your replies.

Try searching here:

The Kona seems to run around $5/yard. Maybe you'll find a sale.

We have an Amish community near us. Needed lots of black material and couldn't pay huge prices for it. Well, went to the Amish store and got a couple of yards....is also extra wide....did my project but found that I would have to piece the back....not. Went back for more black material. The cute little Amish lady was measuring out the material and grinning asked, "What you making....bonnets?" I busted. :D
