I went to Wally world today. Saw a 5 pack for $14? I think I'll get that next payday. Even the gal that was working there didn't like the sharpeners.

I get my blades from House of Hanson, they have Olfa's and generics. No shipping and handling, excellent service, great prices $32.00/10(last time I purchased)

I have one of these but like some of the others that have responded, I prefer a new blade. These sharpeners don't seem to work to well, better to spend your money on new blades.

I have one, use it rarely...BUT.... if you have it on hand it's wonderful for those times when purchasing a new blade aren't an option. In my opinion it won't bring your blade into "NEW" condition....but it will certainly help your wrists out if you're cutting alot of strips for an "immediate" project.

Thanks for asking this question, Bev. I was considering one, too. Maybe not now.

Hi all re: blade sharpener If you have one of the older (blue) ones it won't work if you move the blade back and forth as every time you bring it back to first position you are undoing the sharpening. Only move the blade round and round in the same direction and it should work better. And always use the heavy side of the sandpaper first then the other sidse helps also.
Hope this helps!!!
