Yes, Bob Mackey had designed those fantastic costumes for Cher and for Carol Burnette - remember Carol said...."I saw this in the window and just HAD to have it" (it was from Gone with the wind segment and she was wearing draperies! Also, He designs for the shopping chennel for everyday women now. Either QVC or HLN - I forget which one

I found a listing of his clothes on QVC but when I put the web address here, it takes you to diamond ring. Go to the QVC website and type Bob Mackie in the search bar.

I used to have a Bob Mackie gown. No, it didn't have beads anywhere but the neckline it nor was it cleverly designed to show everything BUT my belly button. It was more of a lounging caftan. Loved it though. It was extremely comfortable and beautiful. Perhaps the confusion came from when Marie Osmond mentioned his name as being one of the people that inspired her in her efforts to design fabrics.

He used a lot of sparkly beaded sequined fabrics. Even if he embellished them himself I doubt if he started with cotton.

I'm betting if he had anything to do with quilting cotton, someone on here would have heard about it or found it, so my opinion is that it wouldn't be quilting fabric.

On QVC or HSN he has beautiful fashions for up to 3x. Of course if you're talking about the creations he did for Cher well, that's a different story. Not very many us could fit into those even if we could afford them.
