What pattern would be suitable

My dad passed away two years ago and I have a lot of his plaid flannel shirts. I what to make a quilt out of them. What pattern would be suitable.

Maybe 5 inch squares sewn together or a tossed nine patch.

there are lots of flannel quilt patterns out whole books- start browsing the right one will catch your eye
do a search for flannel quilts,
plaid quilts
there are books and books of them

here's 2 i've made---i love working with flannels and make lots of flannel quilts

Split rail fance might look nice in flannels.
Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will make a special memory for you.

Personally, I would just do something simple like patchwork squares or bricks.

This site is too cool. She makes a small quilt using just seven shirts. Of course, you could make a larger using more shirts.

Bearpaw is a nice block for plaids. Another good one might be churndash. When I did one a few years ago, I did the bearpaws, as the guy was an avid hunter and that just seemed to be the logical choice.

Thanks, I like this site and the directions on how to cut the shirts up.
