Default Bobbine Winding Machines

Have always wanted one so I broke down and bought one. Used my 50% off coupon from Michaels. Brought it home and be darned if it won't work with the bobbins for my machine, a Husqvarna. So I turned the bobbin upside down and voila it works like a charm. Wound all the empties I could find, won't have to wind bobbins for at least a couple of days now.

Just beware that the bobbins you just wound "upside-down" may not work in your machine. H-V bobbins are directional. They only work in the machine one way: that's why they put the little symbol on one side...to remind you "this side up".

Guess I should have clarified lol. I wind the bobbins upside down so when I put the bobbin in the machine right side up the thread feeds off the bobbin perfectly. Sorry for the confussion.

My Viking would not accept the bobbins even wound upside down? My Elna accepted them wound upside down. I ended up giving away my bobbin winder to our quilting group.

Yep, do the same thing for my Pfaff bobbins! Love to wind a bunch at a time!

My bobbin winder came with different pins for different size bobbins. I can't say that I'm in love with it yet because it doesn't really wind any better than my old Euro Pro sewing machine but it is a lot smaller so it is easier to drag it out & set it up than the old sewing machine.

I hated the bobbin winder I bought. Pink one from Wrights and not cheap either. I regifted it to someone else at one of our group functions.

Took me a while to finally break down and get the Sidewinder from Joann's but I love it! works with batteries or with the electircal connection thingy that came with it. Easier than unthreading my machines and it is so small it fits in the side compartment of my old cabinet machine. Well worth the money but you can get them at Wal Marts cheaper.

I was intrigued and bought one too, a while back
Used it twice, then got acquainted with Superior Threads prewound bobbins and have never looked back.
Bobbin Winder now sit in a "to be sold or traded" box.
