I stopped at Hancock Fabrics on my way home from work this evening. They had some "top of the line" quilting cottons on the shelf for $19.99/yd!! Wow - didn't think that yardage would get that high this quick.
On a better note, I did find 4 fabrics on the $3.00/yd sale table and one on the $2.00/yd sale table that I liked. I bought 2 yards of each. My plan is to continue to add to my stash of yardage as well as kits when I find good deals because pretty soon we'll have to take out a loan to make a lap-sized quilt!!

Prices for gas and fabric are getting crazy.

We have some 108" wide for $19.99, but not 45" wide.

You shouuld try buying fabric in Europe. Good quality cottons are way more expensive and have been for many years. I bought some cotton in Italy about 6 years ago that was the equivalent of $38 a yard. And the dollar was still worth something then!!

Looks like I will hit more thrift stores and yard sales, I will not pay that kind of money for fabric...thats just crazy, especially the way things are in this world right now, to many people with out jobs! Just wondering what are they thinking!

Fabric here is very expensive...along with everything else. Back to grass-roots quilting...re-use and re-cycle.

ain't that the truth. Start figuring gas, fabric and time it all counts up. All it is is price gouging.
