The quilter probably already knows if there's a mistake. I wouldn't say anything. If it was mine I would think someone was looking for faults. One of the things i love about this board is how kind people are. I haven't seen one post of someone critizing someone elses work. You ladies make me proud to be a part of this QB.

You do know that's a myth, don't you? The idea that your work is so good that you have to make an 'intentional' error is the height of vanity, not humility. Very un-Amish. Read the second article down on the Hart Cottage site for the truth.

this happened to me a few years ago. I didn't notice the mistake for quite a while. I noticed it in a photograph but obviously no one else noticed or at least no one said anything! I think of it as my proof that I'm not perfect, a la Amish

I had that happen to me, I finished a Harley Davidson quilt and showed it to a friend (I had already given it away), and the friend pointed out to me, a very small area that I had missed quilting, she told me I needed to fix it, since it is so much work to put a quilt on the quilting frame, I decided that it didn't make that big a difference, that my son was just glad to get the quilt. So no, I wouldn't want to know.

I agree with ghostrider. In a pm would be nice. And I would be nice about it also. Some people can be unkind and like to point out others mistakes. Since I am ssooooo not perfect, I cant afford to throw stones. lolol

If its already quilted, I would not think it could be fixed, I would want to know, though.

Never, unless it is going into a show. I'm just not that interested in mistakes. A finished quilt is a beautiful thing with or without mistakes. I have no guilt and if anyone wants to criticize, I'm like a duck, I have oily skin. I'm glad to finish anything!
peace
