I think a border would look great. I agree that white would be nice. I guess it depends on the size you want it though...

I would make the decision based on how big you want the quilt to be. It would look lovely on your bed with large borders, or would make a nice throw without them.

I vote for borders on this beautiful quilt. I would go with something solid or that reads solid (tone on tone).

I am just a border kind of person..I border all of my quilts...that being said if I was making this I would border with one of the dark fabrics used in the quilt. But as others have stated It is a very beautiful quilt and will be lovely anyway you decide.

I'm not going to be much help. I think it could go either way - depending on the size you want. But, I must say, it's beautiful. Very striking.

I would add a border of the white/beige background fabric and then pick one of the colors from the quilt for a wider border. It does look good on top of that blue. The dark blue in the quilt seems to be a very dominate color and will allow the very colorful blocks to shine but end up not being overwhelming.
