    Welcome to the board, ClairD.
    Some years ago, I made Xmas runners with a pattern like this but I'm not sure if it's exactly the same pattern. Here's a link.

    I think this pattern may be the one, if you used a four patch in the centre vs the large feature fabric in this image.

    Just looking at the pattern, I would guess that the squares could be 1 inch squares. If you take graph paper, I think you could draw it out. If you decide that isn't big enough, then just enlarge the squares.

    The rows are sewn on point, on the diagonal. If you look at the center part of the rows, where there are four small squares across with another four small squares below, the color layout for that double row of squares is the same for each double row all through the table runner (with the exception of the shorter end rows), so those can be strip pieced and cut down. Then each double row has a dark strip added to each end.

    I agree with this. It is made from squares and turned on the diagonsl.

    I've made this several times in different color combinations.....its called "Seminole Table Runner" by Atkinson Designs..
