DH and I were at the county fair to watch our granddaughter in the talent show. There was a couple there that make barn and garden quilts. My maiden name was Carpenter. I asked them if they could make a Carpenter's Square. They were not familar with that particular block but they had a book with all the quilt patterns in it. I am going to put it on a trellis on the side of my front porch. That is where you drive in our driveway. I have always wanted one. This one is not very big so it will look great in that area. It only cost me $30.00. I saw many they had painted and they do an excellent job of it.

Do you mean a picture of a quilt painted on wood?

Oh that sounds neat! I would like to find someone around here that would do that. I bet it will look great on your trellis. Post pics when you get it!

My DH and I were at the country fair to watch our granddaughter perform in the talent contest. I saw a booth selling the barn quilts. My maiden name was Carpenter so I asked them if they could do a Carpenter's wheel. They were not familar with that block, but they had a book with all of the blocks in it. They said they could do it. I am going to put in on a trellis on the side of my front porch. That is where we drive into our driveway. It only cost me $30.00. I saw some of the barn/garden quilts they have made and they do an excellent job of painting them. They then seal them against the weather.

Yes, it is a quilt pattern painted on wood. We have several on barns in our area.
