Bought a Flynn Quilting Machine.....WoooHooo
#1
I am buying one of these machines from one of the members on here. I am excited, I know some people like them and some don't, but I am looking forward to the challenge of learning to use it. I have gone to "search" on here and read some of the reviews, and understand that now everyone likes the same things, and aren't we glad of that. It may be one of those things I just say to heck with it, but since I have five I Spy quilts to make before Christmas, if I can learn it, it will be a lot cheaper for me than having them quilted.

I've thought about one, with the idea that if I don't like it for machine quilting, I could still use it for no baste hand quilting and I could use it to baste a quilt on my Bernina 930 which has a long basting stitch, then take the quilt off the Flynn for FMQ. Would that work? Can you tell I hate basting?

I bought one of them from a lady on the other side of Minot who didn't want it any more and I have to take some time to learn how to use it. My aunt over at Fargo also has a rail system that my uncle made for her until she bought her longarm and she said I could have it if I could get it home. Been trying to figure that one out for about 4 years. I have a car and it won't fit in that and I don't have a pickup that I can use either.
