I have purchased about 60 brocade fat quarters. The problem is the fabric is so slippery I cant get it to stay put to cut my rectangles. How do I keep the fabric from sliding around? Can anyone give me some suggestions or instructions?.

Thanks, Carla

You can also use one of the temporary quilting sprays, or you can do a muslin or light weight interfacing. It's difficult, but it can be done. Crazy quilt is the best I can hope for with something like that. I used satin in that last one.

What are you using it for? The stabilizers work great, but may be stiff for a bed quilt. I've used tear-away with success, to blend fancy fabrics into wall hangings. Be careful anything you do can be washed without shrinking/colors running.

If you are using a template, some of those little silicone dots on your template would help. Or if you are just using a ruler, little sandpaper dots or the clear silcone ones on it might help.
