I broke the last quilting needle on my machine and I don't won't to go to the store in this rain. Has anyone used a different type of needle?? like the one for jeans?

that one might leave big holes, but I've been known to use what I have. Depends on the project. Some require finesse.

I use a larger needle for quilting than piecing so that I don't break needles :D:D:D

I am sewing the binding on...so I don't think it will show. What happens if the holes are big?

I have used jean needles and everything came out just fine. The holes disappear after you wash it.

argh....my machine is not working...the bobbin thread keeps getting stuck. I'm so frustrated...most if the binding is done so I will hand sew the rest than hand sew the other side. I hope I can figure out what is wrong with my machine.

Jeans needles will be fine. Some people I know use them for everything. The holes are not substantial. Go for it!
