I wanted to make one for my round glass table. I got some newspaper, taped them together and laid it on the table. Cut it out round and then marked it out into sections, from the middle out to the edges..cut it out and marked it to remember to add seams. It will wind up as a circle, and I can use it when kids eat on the glass table. I'd rather wash a table quilt than fix a broken glass table, or even sand down a scratch.
Brain fog...forgot the name of this pattern, very simple though. Just strips that go from a point (plus seams) to wide end, as long as I want it to be, with a weighted slight hangover.
Still have to finish it, too many other things get in the way.
