I love this butterfly quilt, I belive it was posted recently . I would love to make one, maybe a full bed size for granddaughter, having problem finding it again and wondering how wide the strips are, 2.5 or 3 inches. Does anyone have an idea? thanks

I don't know the size but if you wanted to make it the center block of a bed quilt, just make the squares the sizes you need. certainly they would be larger than the original one posted.
cute butterfly!

If you cut the strips 3" ( finishing at 2 1/2" )
and add the first border cut at 3" ( finishing at 2 1/2" )

Add 2 more rows of blocks to the top and bottom only, to start making it a rectangle

Th quilts dimensions will be 47 1/2" X 57 1/2"

If you add another border 3" wide (cut at 3 1/2" ) the dimensions are now 53 1/2" X 63 1/2" Which should pretty much cover the top of a full bed. Add more borders if you want it to drape over the sides

well, thank you for writing, your quilt is beautiful and if you are reading here many of us love it and are inspired to make similar quilts, hope that you do not mind?
I am going tomorrow in search of fabrics. Granddaughter loves purple so I hope to find something nice.

I love this quilt. I'm going to make it for at least two of my GD's. I wonder if it will work for a stash quilt.
