Hi, I've had my Husqvarna Sapphire for 830 for a while now and find it's really noisy. It sews ok, but the noise is pretty loud for an electronic machine. Anyone else experience this? I used to be able to open and clean and oil my old Brother and Janome machines, but this one will only let you open the shuttle case and remove any lint with tweezers. Not a simple process. Any suggestions??

Did you take any classes? The first thing they taught us was how to clean our machines. I believe that you can do more than that! Have you looked at your manual?

I have the 870, so did a quick search for you on the forum here.

Maybe something that might help in one of those postings?

Ok - I have an 875Q - when mine started making loud noise - it was not threaded correctly - for instance the thread coming down front to the needle - would either be wrapped around wrong or it wasn't threaded through that little doo hickey right above the needle - I know this isn't a great explanation - but try to re thread again - usually this helps. :)

i have the designer se le...one of the cons of it is it is not as quite as some of the other machines, especially when i do embroidery one it. It does get a little more noisy when it is threaded wrong, right before it yells at me to check the upper thread. And yes the only thing you can do on these machines is to clean the bobbin case. I think because you don't ever have to oil them. Other then the noise i love my machine. Hope this helps.

I have an older Viking the Rose but if you have a "bad" needle or the wrong kind of needle it makes a huge difference in the noice level. Would love to buy a new machine.

I have the same machine and mine is louder than I expected it to be. I did take it in for a cleaning a few months ago and she didn't find anything wrong with it. It works fine, just noisier than I'd like. I change needles with each project and never noticed it being quieter after a new needle. I clean mine out frequently, especially when quilting.

Grab a few Q-tips and some sewing machine oil. Put a drop on a Q-tip and clean the lint out with that. Turn the wheel by hand so you can get in thru the holes and clean. Each time you pull up a bunch of lint, change to a new Q-tip so you don't drop the lint back in.

Hi, I have an 830, & I have an older Janomi (Memorycraft 3000) & yes, the 830 is the nosier one, but sews great. As for cleaning, I have read, & heard, you have to take them in for this, as they have the specialty tools to open them up & clean them out properly, but, I too, would like to know how to do this at home myself. Mine is on a quilting frame, & I have done enough quilts on it yet, to worry about it, but am still curious. I make mostly smaller quilts too, so that helps. I can't see having it serviced once a year, if it's not been used that much, & doesn't need it yet. So any cleaning info would be helpful, thanks!
