I think I saw some you tube videos of how to do those corners. I remembered thinking it wouldn' be to hard after I'd watched it.

This is why I seldom bind table toppers. They have to lay flat and binding, even if it lays flat, causes a bump. I simply sew on the backing and turn it inside out. I do this by seaming the backing and cutting the seam to turn. This leaves the edges uniform and the seam is easily stitched back together. No one will see the back anyway.

Boy, it that a great video. I went to the web page and they have a ton of videos. Thank so much for sharing.
I think I will still turn my table toppers but that's great info for quilts.

Great video.....you will definatly need to cut the binding on the bias for this application.

That is exactly what is wrong. You might have to pound the fabric into submission or bear the ripples. I think this is a really neat tablerunner. Are you using a bias binding? Sometimes a straight cut binding will also do the same thing. Just finish and enjoy!

think of it like a Y seam....stitch down to the bottom of the V, leave needle down, lift pressure foot, turn fabric and binding and continue up the other side----beautiful topper....dont become discoourage.....;love the pattern!!!!

Looks like a lot of us want to thank you QuiltnNan for this link. I would never have thought to do those inside corners that way but now I know. And what a great site for other tutes. Thanks for posting this.

cinnya, your table runner is gorgeous. Glad to hear that you are going to fix it. It's just too lovely to sit in a UFO box.
