That's a great idea! I'll try to remember. I do appreciate it so much when other people include all that information, but my synapses don't always fire on time.

This is a great idea. I'll have to try and remember to do it myself.

I agree wholeheartedly! So many beautiful blocks and patterns, but not enough time to figure out the names! This is a great idea - thanks for bringing it up!

many of us make quilts and show them with out pattern information because we have not used someone's pattern...we make the quilts up as we go.
i may make a traditional block or two...but you are not going to find any of my quilts in a magazine, pattern or book in any shop. if someone wanted to (try) to make one of my quilts they would have to contact me and (try) to talk me into drafting the pattern. I never make the same quilt twice- everyone is its own original design and there's not another one like it unless someone buys it and copies it...or requests...

I am one of those people that looks at the pictures and don't always read the info but if I am going to make a comment I do read the first notice. Also, I would like to point out that I don't always know the names of pattern. I have some that I make that I have just picked up from that TV show Alex Anderson several years ago. I am not one to always remember names but if I ever post anything I will do my best to name it and credit it.

That's a great idea! I typically skim all the responses before I ask a question so I'm not duplicating someone else. I want to be conscientious of other people's time, so the little effort on my part does infringe too much on anyone else. I do like all the little gems I find, so it does pay to skim/read what other say! Well, unless there are over 7 pages.

I personally would like to see a "LIKE" button so I can let people know their comments are appreciated without having to write a response. So much good stuff on this blog!

Great idea to make a list, it might free up some space on my bookmark list.
