Default Can you give me your feedback of the AccuQuilt Snails Trail die?

I would just like some feedback on how it is to put together the block using this die. My concern about trying to use this die is that all the pieces are cut with no "square up" room like I normally cut my pieces (oversized) for something like this.

It would certainly make the cutting go super fast. I want to make the Shakespear in the Park quilt sometime and this would really help. Thanks.

I oversize my blocks too that is why I won't use the AccuQuilt.

There is no need to oversize if every piece is cut accurately. I learned it was my seam allowance that was giving me size problems. It's a great feeling to sew a block and it be the exact size wanted.

I don't have this particular die, but if you sew a seam that gives you the right size patch, I have found the accuquilt dies very accurate. I refer to the patch size because when you say a 1/4" seam, you shouldn't measure the seam, you should measure the resultant patch:

When you look at the outline of the die on the accuquilt site, all the triangles have the little corners already clipped off for easy and accurate placement.
