I really need help! I started this car quilt for my son months ago and have yet to finish it because I'm not really happy with how it looks!! I tried using a different pattern and redid it to this. The car blocks are 8inch squares. I still think it's a little busy and I don't know whats missing... I am now thinking of doing the warm wishes pattern on it with maybe blue, grey, and red? Or maybe with blue grey and green. What do u think? I thought I would use the flags as a border along with maybe a dark grey and maybe green border? I don't know... What else can I do to it though? Maybe to even make it larger? I have some larger car prints that maybe I should use as applique in between the other car print??

I still need to finish the car and "road" applique.
I hope to have it done by this winter! Any advice would be great! Thanks!

I love it! It isn't too busy to me, but I love bright colors. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Would you be up for taking it apart and remaking it using the car print alternating with the blue as a solid block without the red, yellow, blue and green squares? Maybe you could applique the larger car prints on some of the blue squares. Or do a disappearing nine-patch with the car print in the corners, the red in the center and the blue squares in the "north, south, east and west" positions. This will be a darling quilt for your son.

I love it as it is, maybe another border in green and a larger one of the flag fabric.
Your DS will love how bright and cheery it is :D:D:D

I think it's fine as is. Kids love bright prints and lots of busy colors. Boys especially. It holds their attention.
