Default Has anyone made a whole quilt of backs?

That is, using all the fabrics backwards? I thought of this the other day. I have Hawaiian shirts where they used the fabric inside out.

so using the wrong side of the fabric. I haven't made a whole quilt, but I bought a whole bolt of fabric, used about half of it, all the wrong side.

I have used the wrong side of fabric in piecing scrap quilts for a different look but not a whole quilt. If you like the look of the wrong side better, use it.

I use the wrong side all the time. It depends how much of the design shows on the wrong side. Some fabric is too blotchy. The wrong side gives a more muted look.

I don’t consider one side right, one wrong. I pay for both sides and use either side as I want. Sometimes one side is a better choice than the other

I agree. If you like the "wrong" side why not make a quilt from it? Do whatever makes you happy. Hey, maybe you'll be a trendsetter!

I do the same as Tartan. Have not made a whole quilt with the backside of the fabric. Batiks it is darn near impossible to tell one side from the other.

I never and it upsets me if I accidently use the wrong side. I think it comes from sewing clothes when we were told the right side is smoother than the wrong side. somethings I was taught dies hard. Do whatever makes you happy.

I find that sometimes the front of the fabric might be too dark and the back is just the colour I need, so I use it

You paid for both sides. Use whichever you like better.
