I was just looking through old quilt mags and found the pattern in The Quilter, January 2001. They called it Twisting the Night Away by Wanda B Ingram. PM me and I will send you the Magazine.

really like the look of this design....and it can be made with jelly rolls?????? Wish Missouri Quilt had a tute on it......am tempted to buy that pattern......does template come with it or is that extra??????? May have to look into it.

OK i'm not great at this but it looks like the whole quilt can be made by using a full hex and surround it with half hex's, I think you would just add on like a log cabin. only counter clockwise. if you divide the STRIPS that surround the hex its two hex's (or could be) I hope someone else can explain it better. I bet the original quilter wished it was that easy. Dee
