I don't recognize your fabric but I'd do a burn test to see if it is cotton or manmade. When I make quilts I want 100%cotton and I'd be upset if it wasn't. Stretch could be due to loose weave but your fabric looks like it's not a loose weave. I hope someone else knows what it is for you.

Without touching it, I don't think you'd be able to tell what it's made from. You can do a burn test. Google it. There are lots of sites with info on how different fibers behave when burned, and how to perform the test. If it melts at all, list it as a synthetic. It really is pretty. Good luck!

ok, just did burn test and did a bit of research and it could be either rayon or polyester cotton blend. it melted with a flickery fire black smoke and hard lumb that was in a little ball when burned. kept burning when i removed flame. So I'm a little closer to knowing what its made from. Thx to all my fellow quilters. If i may be wrong about my guess please, let me know cuz i am still not sure of it yet.thx again.

is there a salvage on it? usually the fiber content should be identified on the salvage- if it is a knit (stretchy) it is probably a polyester- or blend- there is no real way to tell from a picture- take it to a quilt shop or fabric store & ask someone there before trying to sell it- unless you plan to sell it as a mystery fabric
