A year & a half ago went to an estate sale, where there was tons of fabric. Prices were great! MANY, MANY kits. I picked out a lot of them more for fabric amounts, than for the patterns. Thimbleberries and other good names! One pkg I got, had a reciept in it for $100.00 + shipping! There was no pattern in this, just a jellyroll, I thought, 3.75 yds of ast. fabrics, & another 3yd pc (labelled quilt back) &1 pkg of stained glass bias. WOW! I'd forgotten about it!The fabricis MARY ROSE by quiltgate for R. Kauffman. Beautiful , pale pinks, creams,&pale greens.I paid $10.00 for all! Decided to use the quilt back as my background fabric. I sat down yesterday and cut pcs for a jellyroll quilt (crocus or tulip block, depending where you see it). Then started to sew! Then I found out my "JELLYROLL" was only 2" wide, ALL 40 strips!! ooops! Never assume anything , my mom always said! I think I've saved it! Had to recut the centers and I had cut "leaves" @2.5 so I had to recut the cornerstones for those , as well. ALL in all, the 1st block looks beautiful I guess I should've at least measured once & I would've saved some fabric! This quilt has 39 blocks, 6.5" finished, but is set on point (10.75"). I will have leftovers!! Oh well,REMEMBER TO MEASURE!!!Have the units sewed for the next 12, 4 seams & I'm 1/3 done.

 I think we have all done this at least once  However, it's not funny when you've realized you've done it but at least you let us all know that we're not alone
