I paid significantly more than that for mine. However it was in pristine condition, machine and case both. So I would definitely advise you to go get it.

For a $100, it's a great deal! Whatever is wrong with it can be fixed.

I saw that ad the other day. Since I already have one I decided to pass as mine is in excellent condition. If I didn't have one and really wanted one, I'd go for it. I happened to have a friend who cleans out houses find one for me. He only wanted $25 but I paid him $45 and then made him a baby quilt with it. I'm just too cheap to put out that kind of money. That said, I do think it's a good price for what most are going for -- just more than I'm willing to spend. Especially since I was looking to re-sell. But I would also offer probably in the neighborhood of $50 due to case needing to be replaced, having it serviced, etc. and then go from there.
