Default Singer Machine on HSN

I wrote them to ask what the harp space is. I'm wondering if anyone has a similar machine. This one will be on the market next year, and comes with many extras.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a new Singer, an old Singer yes, but this is my personal opinion. I would go to a dealer and see what they have in new machines and also for trade ins that are usually higher end machines, that the person has traded up and get it for a much better price than if the machine was new.

Singers used to be a great machine. I still have mine I got in 1980.

Harp looks very small to me. I have a Singer bought in 1962 and a clone. All metal parts and bobbins.
Check out All Brands and see what they have. I bought a Brother 1500, great machine, great price. Great for piecing and quilting. 9" harp.

I also saw it. The harp looked small - the entire machine looked small - but lots of extras. Not sure how easy it would be to return it after using it a week or two. May be worth it.

It all really depends on what features you want and how much you're able to spend. A lot of folks are against Singers, but I got the Singer Quantum in december, and totally love it! I also have a 45 yr old Kenmore that I will never part with, it is a true workhorse, even survived a flood! But I don't think they make any machines like those anymore, but not very many features on it either. Also, check Amazon, I got my Quantum (regular 329, for 249 w free shipping)
