I'm experiencing some Dejavu...I'm kind of getting the feeling I asked this before, but I'm not entirely sure. Please bear with me if I have. :(

I can't for the life of me find a pattern for a Chinese take-out box. Well, one that's not going to cost me $10. I don't need the instructions on constructing one, but I do need the pattern for one. I need one because I plan on making Christmas gifts out of them.

To be honest, I've never seen Chinese take out boxes used at our Chinese restaurant. I guess that's why I never thought of that. Then again, maybe they only use them with certain things?...I don't know. I'll have to ask. Thanks!

I just remembered that they also have the take out boxes for wedding favors. I'm not sure if Wal-Mart still has them. When Wal-Mart got rid of their fabric section all the craft and paper items got switched around and they got rid of some things...such as loose leaf graph paper (sure, the ONE thing I need for quilt designing)...and they added a bunch of stuff.

I'd really like to find something online. My friend has hardly any gas so he can't go anywhere unless he really has to...so no rides to places that might have Chinese take out boxes. Well, since I've been living here with him and his wife Wal-Mart's now within a reasonable walking distance (at least for me anyways), but its been getting colder up here in Wisconsin and I don't have a decent jacket for this kind of weather. If I really have to I'll go walk up there, but I'd like to see if there is something online first to avoid catching cold.

Okay I found a pattern for you.

Go to The Quilting Dragon and when you enter the site, left hand side is patterns. they are listed in ABC form click on C and there is a really nice Chinese take away box there.

If I can ever get out to Hancock's and Micheals, hopefully little personalized fabric Chinese boxes with some beading on them. Don't know what will go into them yet...possibly a little money or a personalized ornament. I got the idea after seeing a Chinese take-out box made entirely out of seed beads...thought about making it entirely out of beads, but then decided not to when I remembered there's only a little over a month until Christmas.

That's weird. I went there and they said liquidation had been completed and the Quilting Dragon is no more. ???
