I am looking into buying a long arm. And have seen the Bailey system online. Just wondering does anyone have one? And if so how do you like it? They are a lot more affordable than most of the machines I have looked at. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have looked at them online too and wondered the same thing. I will be anxious to see what the others have to say about them. I noticed that they seem to not be very tall between the bed of the machine and the under side of the arm? I wonder if it you would have enough room under it to fit a king size quilt? crafty_linda_b

Do a search, there were a couple of threads and I was interested too. If I remember right, every one who had them really liked them.

I've been researching these machines also. Recently I joined the Baileys group on yahoo, just to poke around and see what issues they were having. I also joined a Gammill group. From what I gather from any machine you buy there's a learning curve and modification. Baileys is fairly new, and Chuck is still working out some issues. But the costumer service is great. I called him a few weeks ago. And it seems that all the gals that own this call him. Its basic in design and what you need to remember is that is a regular sewing machine thats been stretched there's no bells and whistles on this gal. The Yahoo group girls are constantly making modifications to there setups. The biggest problem that I've seen on the group is the lack of good setup instructions. Keep researching. I started saving over a year ago and have the money ready to order its just doing it. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I'm going to keep researching. I am leaning towards it. I just can't justify spending thousands on some of the others and then deciding that I don't like my finished quilts. I do free motion on my baby lock. It's hard though. There is very little room and my shoulder and back hurt for days afterwards if I try to do anything bigger then a crib size. I think it would be a good starter machine. And if all goes well and I hit the lottery some day, haha.... Then I would move up to one of the higher end machines. :)

I too would love to hear from users of the Bailey. I've been researching machines and his price seems great but since other machines have speed rates as high as 1500+ per stitch, it makes me wonder about his 700 per stitch. If "DesertDebbe" is in the room, please let me know. I would like to talk to her but can't seem to get any info on how to. Help!
