Default class sewing machine

I really want to replace my Janome 3160 QDC (take to classes) machine. I'm looking (on-line) at the sparrow 30. Can someone with this machine tell me the weight as I'm hoping the weight I see on-line is the shipping weight. For me weight is a deal breaker. LOL.

I have/had one (DD borrowed it). It's very lightweight for me. I think 13lbs. Maybe lighter but not over.

My gosh the site I was looking at listed it at 21lbs. So I'm guessing I read the shipping weight.

I like the Sparrow's weight which is under 15 lbs. PM me if you want more information.

I have the Sparrow 30, it weighs 15 lbs on my home scale. I really do like it.

Thank you to all who replied. I realllly want one, but last night realized I've being looking on Amazom.com not Amazon.ca. Even with our rotten exchange rate it is still way pricey. Can we say sticker shock .LOL.

I would recommend checking our the Pfaff Passport 2.0 or 3.0 before buying. They each weigh 6.5 kgs which converts to 14.33 pounds. They each have IDT, a Pfaff trademark which is a permanent walking foot. The 3.0 has 30 more decorative stitches than the 2.0. Check it out!

I am curious why you want to replace the Janome 3160? I have that machine, use it for classes and love it. Have you had an issue or problem with it? Sorry can't offer any info on the Sparrow 30.
