I was bored over Christmas holidays and was going thru web sites looking at 12" patterns. I decided to go thru my scrap fabrics and start making blocks. So far I have about 14 made and have patterns cut out for about 30 more. Have NO idea what Ill do with the blocks when Im done but it sure cured the boredom! My new daughter in law wants a quilt but couldnt decide on the pattern or colors so this way I can show her what the patterns look like and let her chose!

That's a lot of scraps! Sounds like a great way to jump start your creative process.

Thanks everyone. It IS fun to see how the blocks come together and the different ways that colors make the blocks change! My favorite are the browns and beigh colors or the red/white colors. Ill have to take pictures and have my son download them for me since my computer is acting weird. I belong to a block of the month club here in Boonville Mo and I had won 25 blocks right after I joined and it turned out really nice. Im thinking sampler but have to make enough of one color range to make it pretty! ITS FUN!!!
