I collect old and new ones. A good friend got me started by giving me some of hers. I really enjoy it.

My collection consists of approximately 300 thimbles, old and new. My favorites are ones I found in Germany. My parents were born there. I started my collection many years ago. Family and friends have since added to my collection. I cherish each and everyone of them.

I have collected thimbles over 20 years but for the last several years havent been gifted a thimble. There used to be a catalogue that has nothing but thimbles. I have nt seen or received it for a long time. Dont know if they are still in business or not. Maybe I need to gently remind my family about it.

I was so excited this weekend. My grandma found a bunch of thimbles and gave them to me. Several of them are old, and one of the older ones even had a thread cutter on it. I hadn't seen that before. She added at least a dozen to my collection. Happy Easter to me!

I don't collect thimbles but I think it sounds like a neat thing to do. I might just have to start going to auctions and see if I can't find some to start me a collection. Thanks for the idea.

I have a collection of at least 150 thimbles my grandmother left me. Most of them are ceramic or decorative. Many of them were gifts to her. One is a little metal outhouse that the door really opens.
