Are there colors that I'm tired of seeing? No, no more than there are friends I'm tired of seeing. Just doesn't happen.

With all the hues, tints, tones, and shades, the are millions of colors and every one is affected by the light, the surroundings, the neighboring colors, and the viewer's state of mind when they see it. So, no, I never get tired of any color...I just need to take a break from some of them every now and then.

Totally agree with this. It looks like they are trying for extra quick and cheap "does" for something that should take a lot more thought. IMHO, I think the pattern is ultra important and should really stand out. That's what I like anyway. I really don't like the hodgepodge look. Just me! Traditionalist all the way!

When I started I thought the Civil war fabrics were drab and boring, but I just did one in tans, creams, and dark blues and I really loved it. I don't know if that will extend to mustard and moss....yuck!
I'm tired of looking at the peach-and-green and teal-and-tan. I had to do a quilt in teal and peach and simply couldn't find the fabric - teal and peach no longer go together. I will have to throw out that old Kmart shower curtain form the 80's LOL

I might be the only one, but I don't like halloween fabric. I'm not a fan of halloween anyway so that fabric is something I shy away from. And I don't like food on fabric. I don't think I've ever made a quilt with black. I need to though. When I buy pre-cuts, I tend to toss aside any pieces that have black in them. I think I don't like flowery fabric with black in it. I would love to make an amish quilt with black...solid colors with black.

Most of the quilts I make are for children. I absolutely hate "old lady florals" in drab colors. There are florals that I do admire, but not the very formal ones in dark colors. I don't think I will like them even when I am an old lady -- I am sure some would call me that now!

I sooo agree with you! I love to see the design and patterns in a quilt.

I don't really have any colors that I actually "hate" but I have to force myself to buy pastels. I always seem to gravitate towards the darker and brighter colors.

That's is exactly what I was going to say.

I like the country blue but I am with you on the mauve and the peach. Some one mentioned the modern blue and brown combo and I never liked that either. Waiting for that to pass.
