Red, preferably, or blue. I think the black or even the gray is too stark; it's all I see, which takes away from the medallion and the other beautiful colors.

I also like the blue/grey center. It makes the other blues sparkle. The black looks like a bulls eye to me and the red washes out. Did you try the white as a center?

Well I am a "black" person but I really also like the turquoise in this instance. So choice is black first, turquoise second and a pass on the charcoal or red. But... as so often said on this board, it is your quilt and your choice. Happy quilting!
