A late joiner!! I have been "playing" for a couple hours now, but finally settled on a single project for today. I've been working on Bonnie Hunter's Bricks and Stepping Stones (with the black/white 4-patches). It's supposed to be a wedding gift for my next-door neighbor's daughter. Laying it out, trying to figure out how many more blocks I need. They are not square so it's hard to judge. For a break I have binding on another scrappy to hand sew down. It is 1 pm here in Missouri and we missed the tornadoes (at least so far...) Linda

Hi Rachel, I would love to join this group. Taxes have been mailed, attended Church, baked biscuits for breakfast... so Nothing holding me back. I will begin a baby quilt for a boy due in June... still in the designing part.. but will start with a large boat block and seet where it takes me. The new mom has a A B C theme going for his room. Will check in later...and thank I needed an excuse to get this project started.

Still plugging away at the hand quilting..on my 7th of 72 blocks..Keeping it simple tho, and outlining. The nap idea someone had sounds good, but for me it would mean being up all night..Even tho I don't go to work any more because of disability, I like to keep as normal a schedule as I can...Will probably try to get another 5-6 blocks quilted, and then work on organizing my scraps for a break.

boy, was today a goof or what? I thought I'd sew all day and garden some. But I'm totally pooped though did a bunch of yard work. Yesterday, I finished the top of the quilt I wanted to work on today. I wish I had a camera handy but I don't...Now, I need to dye more fabric cause I'm about 200 inches short of binding. I usually don't under=dye but I didn't figure on scalloping the edges so now I need more. And, the other planned to work on project just isn't calling me today. So, I'll do handwork later in the evening.

I'm late joining because I just got home. I had not planned to do any quilting today; but all of you have inspired me. I realized that I had fat quarters to make a "Yellow Brick Road" quilt in beautiful pinks and greens. I am cutting it out and, hopefully, can start joining pieces before the day is over. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

I started a while ago so I'm on my first break. My goal for today - to get the mitered piano keys borders on a Jewel Box quilt. The try sandwiching it using the Sharon Schamber method with boards. - two firsts so wish me luck.

We went to a local pancake breakfast and I haven't felt good since then. I did one block and I think I ripped every seam on it. Not sure today is my day to quilt. Going to rest and try a little later.
