I'm with everyone in spirit. I'm not doing any sewing/quilting today but I am eyebrows deep in my stash. Refolding, inventorying and sorting. Vowed to accomplish this before I begin one more project. If I don't do this, you all will be meeting me on TLC - "Hoarders Buried Alive". I think it's going to be very liberating to know just what I do have for fabric at this point. Consider me on the fabric moratorium wagon until further notice.

This quilt is destined to be a Christmas present so I HAVE to "get over it" and get back to work on it, hopefully today. I couldn't even scream and stomp around when I found it though, my DH was still sleeping! LOL

I'm less frustrated now. Going to go do a little "shopping therapy" and pick it back up later this afternoon when I can look at it without wanting to bang my head against the wall!
Could you wrap the batting on plywood or something and have it propped against the wall? Even large sheets of foam core or something might work. Nice thing about either of those options is it's also movable if you change the design of your house. Good luck!!

Cheers!

Or start on some Christmas gifts...just not sure what to make ...Married kids may get table runners with matching hot pads..anyone have a simple quick pattern idea??
The 10 minute table runner might be an idea. It actually takes about 30 -45 minutes but is still quick. I use my orphan blocks for pot holders/hot pads.

Time for lunch - I have the borders sewn onto the front, now I just need to figure out the measurements to place this backing fabric into the exact center and cut borders for it.

Pretty kitty!! I have a sweet girl that looks just like that. is yours a male or female? I have a theory about orange tabbies .... but I don't want to give it away until I know if yours is male or female. Nice blanket too!! Nothing like a warm fleece blanket, my son loves those.

Cheers!

Getting a late start. Our youngest DS invited, yesterday, himself to breakfast today and invited DD. They left about half hour ago. We will be eating lunch soon and then leaving for the Blue Angels air show soon after. I have read all the posts and will now do some more cutting out of blocks for quilt for youngest DS. It is a 9-patch and snowball in red and black. The reds are from my scrap stash. I think I am now going to need to get more reds out of my fat quarter stash. The black is a solid and the background. May get to sew when we get back.

i thought orange tabbies was males but calicos are always female. That is the pattern that has always rang true with my cats.... & all the ones that I've know. That's is alot of cats.

But anyways, I'm about to start some sandwiching those little quilts. Shouldn't take long.

Just checking in, have the hearts quilted now for the background quilting. Had to run an errand but ready to get back in there. Great to see/hear what everyone else is working on.
Jan.... as far as lunch goes, deviled eggs & smoked salmon leftovers for me.

I've been working on a test pattern for a fellow QB member. I'm about 1/2 way. Here is a picture of my WIP.
