    a solid or one that reads as a solid to blend the other fabrics together/ something that cooridinates with the focus fabric

    I am not sure of the exact definition of blender, but, to me it is a color that blends into the other colors you are using

    example: If you have pink, red, yellow roses and wanted another color, you would call on a blender, something with pinkish tones, redish, yellowish. I purchased a blue blender for what I am going to be doing. I can best explain it to be like 2 or 3 shades of blue

    I'm bad about blenders, every time I build my stash, I come home with the patterns/florals/paisleys/calicos I love. When I plan a quilt, I always have to buy blenders.

    I think of blenders as single colored, but not solid colored fabric - kind of mottled. Some with a little contrast and some with a little more. I love them - it's hard for me to buy solids if I can find a blender that'll work.
