Kevin, I have an app on my iphone that will give me the quilt shops in the area. I found it very useful when I was out of state and found several shops while I was traveling. My phone is a Droid and my carrier is Verizon.

Seems I remember a publication that lists LQS all across the country. You might Google that and see what you can find.

I have that same app on my iPad and it is great! It locates LQSs within a certain radius of where you are at any time if you have the location thing turned on. It's called Quilt Shops and it is sponsored by Quilters Club of America. I think it only shows the shops that are members of QCA which is ashame because you miss out on some other really great shops but when you are in an unfamiliar city, it's a great app to use.

Before I travel, I check this site: http://quilterstravelcompanion.com/

There is also a 2010-2012 book available that lists more shops than are shown online.

Phoenix, AZ has several going both ways from the airport. Where do you stay when you have a layover? I'm on my way out the door right now, but will post names and addresses when I get back.

If you ever land in Port Columbus (OH) airport, you are only about 20 minutes from Quilt Beginnings, but you are also in a town that has five quilt shops so check out all of them.
