Are you looking for machine or hand embroidery to use for your blocks?

If you're using hand embroidery, children's coloring books are a great source for this as well as using them for simple applique.

I bet if you google (images) Santa Claus you will come up with a lot of line drawings that will work. Coloring books are good too.

Two good sites for easy patterns are these two coloring sites:

http://www.coloring.ws and http://www.preschoolcoloringbook.com. I have used both of these for applique patterns.
