question on washing a needlework

I got a older needlework at an auction it is worked on a brown cotton blend fabric its a pretty peacock but in spots there is bit of mildew would woolite get this out or do you have any suggestions? Thankyou

I would start with a gentle detergent like Woolite, and then stronger if it doesn't work :D:D:D

I would probably use Retro Clean. Here is the website for it:

Have not used it myself, but haven't seen any negatives about it.

If it's really mildew, I'm not sure anything will get it totally out. If that's the case, you might be able to retouch the spots with tiny dots of fabric paint in a color that matches the background. Art supply stores carry that kind of paint.
