Definitely agree w/ picking 3 or 4 patterns and let her pick. Maybe she can go w/ you to pick out fabrics or pull up a collection online??

Log Cabin has always been my idea of a country quilt. But I agree pick three or four patterns you are comfortable with and let her select which pattern.

The fabric selections would go a long way in making any quilt a country quilt. I can also see a Nine Patch or a Quick Quarter.

I would tell her to go online and pick a few patterns and then "surprise" her that way

I also agree with getting 3 or 4 patterns together and let the bride choose which she would like. Have fun.

I would use a different pattern for each block, your color choice is what will make it a country feel quilt.
