Seriously, though, there have been items I would have been happy to have purchased a pattern for if it had been available - even if I didn't want to purchase the finished item.
My favorite is when they tell me they won't pay sales tax, because this is a craft show, not a store. I have to pull out my business license and say that they can discuss it with the Govenor...
Or, when they tell you how much they will give you for the item...when the price is clearly marked. This is not a flea market...and would they take a cut in pay at their job?

I love the list you made. It just goes to show that people have a lot of nerve regardless of where they are & what they are doing! I used to have a friend who would go to craft shows & then copy other people's work too. I told her once that she was talented enough on her own so to stop doing that & put her own creativity to work.

Next time have a sign up in your space that says "I live to annoy the quilt police". LOL

Some of the funny ones I used to get were:
"What is your last price for this?" and then one woman threw my 'creation' down on the table and said,"You want $__for that!" and another immediately grabbed it and said "Sold!"The look on the first woman's face was priceless as she had obviously wanted to beat me down on price.
Whenever someone questioned my price in that manner after that I used to say,"You're right, it's too good for here," and I would put it under the counter until they had walked away. It always worked because sometimes they would come back and buy it later on (or send their husbands).

Back in the late 80's and early to mid 90's I was into other crafty things. I also had space at a flea market promoting my designs and heard alot of the same comments you did.

About a month later I asked myself "what is wrong with this picture" and decided since everyone made comments like I can make this myself I got myself a state business license and started buying the materials for them to buy so they could make it themselves.

I had a sign up that said "So you think you can make it yourself......I challenge you to buy the materials to make it and I'll give you my pattern for free". I made a killing all those months selling beads, string, yarn, plastic canvas, needles, stones....you name it I had it.

An NO not one of them that bragged that they could make what I had made came back with a finished product. LOL

But I sure sold alot of craft related materials.

Too bad some people don't know how to just relax, enjoy, and don't sweat the small stuff!
