Default Crib Quilt

My DIL wants me to make a crib size quilt for my grandson's bed with only three colors. Dark Gray solid, Light Gray solid and a light Gray print. Does anyone have any ideas on what pattern would work with this. She wants it simple. His bed has a navy blue comforter with a gray "star wars" pillow sham and she wants the quilt as an extra folded at the bottom of the bed and for extra warmth when needed.

A D9P looks great in 3 fabrics. I'm made a number of them.

I did a tumbling block quilt using a drk. blue, a light blue, and a train print. It worked out quite nicely.

I agree totally, I have made several D9P's using just 3 fabrics and they all turned out great.

Rail fence would be another option. I have done that as well as the DNP in 3 colors.

Have you ever looked at books for 2 color quilts? They have lots of neat patterns and you can vary one color by using a small print fabric. Just a suggestion.
