Does anyone know how to do the curved piecing technique like what is shown on the Vicorian Table Runner Pattern on page 82 of the Clothilde cataloge? It is NOT curved piecing...somehow you use regular squares and you come out with a curve in your design.

Here is a pic of it. I don't think these curves are sewn as curved pieces...but I may be wrong..I may just buy the pattern to find out.

*** i had to be a stick in the mud and delete the picture. it must be copyrighted. luckily, mary shared a pic with us of her finished quilt. just as good a reference. thanks, mary. :-) **

Yes, I agree buy it. That is gorgeous. The ones here that are good with curves will help you. That even make me want to try curves. Something I am very afraid of. Wish I had someplace to use a table runner.

It sure is dramatic, but to me, it looks like curved piecing.

I have that pattern. It isn't curved piecing at all.

I made mine into a queensize quilt though.
