I'm sorry, it made me laugh too. But, bless his heart... it sounds like he was 'trying to help' you. I run over sprinkler heads with our riding lawn mower. As soon as the water shoots 50' in the air, I don't even look back to see what happened, I just drive over to where he is working on the farm. He is so sweet... he laughs while I die for causing him more work. The other day my front wheel (of lawn mower) nicked the end cap of the main water line that comes in off the road from the irrigation pipe. He stilled just laughed.

You know, if you wanted him to be helpful, he'd be no where to be found! I ruined a mat myself once. Brought my quilting things to my camp. Put the mat flat on the backseat but it still got a permanent hump in it.

Didn't get real excited. It's just like him. He's not home yet but after a bit of rain, it's going to need to stay another day on the concrete. I'll just remind him I'll pick it up when I'm ready to.

Repairs to hoses are pretty easy to do. Now the main line cap, that's another story altogether.
